These are changing times for sure. World-wide, we have been in a recession since 2008 and things don’t seem to be improving very fast. Greece has 26% unemployment, the Euro is wobbling; the United States is chasing its tail around a fiscal cliff used for political gain at the expense of the American people. In short–its a mess out there!
What’s going on? Here at IE (Integrative Economy), we think it reflects the reality that we are in the biggest economic shift of the last 100 years. The Industrial economy is finishing its time and a “knowledge’ based economy is emerging. We have one foot in the old and and just a pinky toe into the new! Those who came through the Industrial economy are desperately trying to restart it but alas, it isn’t working. And those who are just now entering the economy can see that there’s no place for them in the old–yet they can’t identify what the new system will look like and more importantly–where they will find their place in it.
A new option: An Integrative Economy
Economies change–that’s a fact. We’ve had an Agricultural economy, an Industrial economy, a Service economy….and now we’re heading into what we’ve named An Integrative Economy. We could have named it a million different names but we chose an Integrative Economy (IE).
We picked an Integrative Economy because we believe this next economy will “integrate” the agricultural, industrial, and service economies while adding a new dimension–Knowledge. In this “integrative” process it will take the best from the previous economies while expanding to meet the needs that our world has now.
Come explore the ideas in an Integrative Economy and be a part of creating the new.
